RMC-04H is formed by the reaction of dicarboxylic acid group and sulfonate group with tricalcium aluminate and tricalcium silicate. Through adsorption, chelation, dispersion and wetting, cement particles are dispersed through diffusion electric double layer at the initial stage of cement hydration, forming a solvation film with calcium ions on the surface of cement particles, which is preferentially adsorbed on tricalcium aluminate, slowing down the hydration and showing a strong retarding effect. However, the product shows weak adsorption performance for tricalcium silicate, which also ensures the formation of cement strength in the later stage.
